The 7th edition of the Italian-Moroccan festival, which was held from 17 to 20 April in Venice and Treviso, Italy, under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, was reported to the organizers.
At a press conference for the presentation of the event, the president of the association Ribat Al Fath, organizer of the festival, Abdelkrim Bennani, said that the aim is to publicize the progress made by the Kingdom in development and tourism, including in the southern provinces, but also to support and promote the skills of development actors.
This 7th edition, he said, is an opportunity to highlight innovations in terms of cultural development through the organization of conferences and workshops for young immigrants.
Bennani also stressed that Moroccan-Italian relations, by virtue of their historical and civilizational depth, benefit from the diplomatic efforts made by both sides to serve both countries politically, economically, culturally and socially, emphasizing the effective role played by civil society in bringing the two peoples closer together and promoting openness.
Consolidation of the links of rapprochement between Morocco and Italy
Since its inception, the festival has aimed to promote the ancestral civilizational history of both countries and to develop bilateral exchanges in various fields, based in particular on culture, the arts, thought, the economy and social interaction, as mechanisms capable of fostering development and promoting the values of peace, openness, integration and dialogue, he observed.
The programme of this event includes the organisation of an exhibition of photographs, books and products of the Tan Tan Cultural and Tourist Moussem, the screening of Moroccan feature films, conferences and round tables on commercial exchange opportunities in the Veneto region, as well as artistic evenings.
Launched in 2012, the Moroccan-Italian festival helps to make Italians aware of the Kingdom’s potential, its degree of development on different scales and its cultural wealth, as well as the opportunities offered by economic and cultural exchange.
It also aims to highlight the role of the diaspora in consolidating the ties of rapprochement between Morocco and Italy.
